A 2-day game jam with light roleplay elements!
There will also be an introductory presentation on Friday the 15th at 11am to kick off the event!
It's 2005, and the glut of Megaman games seems endless. The last year alone Capcom released 7 more, but we can do better. Our studio has allocated some of our copious resources towards developing the Megaman killer game...
However! The chief (and only) programmer/designer/artist has been terminated with just 2 days left of development time, and now we've discovered that they fiddled away the entire 2-month development cycle, leaving little more than a template project! We are desperately seeking out temporary contractors, time is running out to deliver this project to spec! This is where you come in!
This is a 2-day game jam with light roleplay elements, similar to the Hot Seat Game Jam format. Each participant will be assigned timeslot(s) depending on their availability, and certain tasks or directions during those slots. Everyone is free to be present, provide assistance, or just hang out even when their slot isn't on. A starter project will be provided to ensure a smooth start. Unlike the Hot Seat Game Jam, this is more structured - will it yield a more cohesive game, or will it fail chaotically? You decide!
Attention MUSICIANS & ARTISTS: If you're interested in composing for the game, we won't have time slots for composers but you can make music assets while the event is running. Artists can bring their own computers, but only for making art outside slots - not implementation.
